January Journal 2027 1-4pm on Saturdays from 9th to 30th January 2027 The Shire Workshops Unit A, Dallacre Farm, Dallacre Drive, Wilbarston, Market Harborough, LE16 8FE ///hobbyists.zeal.matchbox Beat the winter blues on Saturday afternoons at the Shire Workshops! Bring along a sketchbook and we will fill it with creative play - filled with words, art, decoration, ideas and self expression, your art journal is a safe and personal place to experiment and have fun. If you find yourself short of inspiration, need a kickstart in the new year or want to try out new techniques, this class is for you! Classes make brilliant gifts too. We'll explore: • Lettering ideas for quotes, poems, goals, lists, dreams... • Creating folding elements and sleeves • Collage and 'messy' pages as a base for your art practise • Page layouts, borders and decoration Bring an A4 sketchbook with paper weight of 170gsm or heavier (you will need thicker paper to cope with ink, glue or paint). All drawing, painting and collage materials will be provided. You are also welcome to bring any papers, pens, paints etc. from home to use in your journal if you wish! Free parking is available on site. This is an adult class, accompanied younger learners age 10+ welcome.
