Experiments with cabachons

This week I'm looking at gemstones, and colourways for cabachons. These will form part of a set of ancient Norse rune images, each rune having a connection with a different gem. I'm totally bewitched by the emerging hues, using no black. As I work and listen to Neil Gaiman's Norse Mythology, I like to feel that the flavour of the tales seeps into the paper, stroke by stroke...
